Persistent fin rot on betta

Hello! My discount dude has some persistent fin rot with the red edge, bacterial i believe
He’s in a temporary 2.5g currently
I do daily 50% water changes but it isn’t getting better
Will disinfected dead leaves from outside or aquarium salt help?
If so, how much should I dose per gallon of water changed?


Edit: I have a 10g that I will put him into later but daily water changes is too much so currently he’s in this small tank

A while ago my betta also had some pretty persistent fin rot. A salt treatment didn't do much for me but I did have success with Fin and Body Cure. Hopefully this helps!

Thanks! Never seen that active ingredient in fish meds before but it seems super effective so definitely willing to give it a try.
