Well as you may know i started work at my LFS on friday and have done every day since!!

well today a customer came in and said one of the staff before said we would beable to give a home to there ghost koi.

So she was saying i hope you can find it a nice home etc and I say I think i'll have him as it does have some nice patterning!!

it had been kept in a tank from a small size and recently it had started to eat the goldifsh in there, i rekaon it was only being fed on flake.

I think there's a possibilty that it's a proper koi and not just a ghostie, I'll have some pictures up tomorrow. It's a lovely silver with a real nice shimmer by it's dorsal fine and has a red tint to it's tail!!

and and it's about 8" :D what a lovely nice...free.....fish :)

Sounds great paul, soon the whole shops stock will be moved to you house.

Noo it's mine :p

Nah I'll just move into the shop instead!!

I'm planning on building the bigger pond next year, with my new job i'll actually beable to afford it better and get a nice big cloverleaf alot cheaper aswell :D

and the pics.....

Thats my favourite koi colour paul, very nice fish you have there

Thanks very much, can't say it's my favourite, i think my Goromo is my fav at the moment.

It is very lovely though, need to find out ryans opinion on it....fingers crossed on being a 10k rare koi

Looks like a Ghost Koi, any ideas if it was breed in England? Ghost koi are crosses between common carp and metallic Ogons. From the photos it seems to have longer fins than normal koi? Might be one of a generation of selective breeding leading to Butterly Ghost Koi. :)

I'd say about £10-£25 :p very nice fish though.

I have no idea of the back gorund was most likely bought as 2-3inch ghostie a few years back.

The fins didn't appear to be bigger aginast the other kois it was in with before i bagged him up to take home.

Oh well i still have the 2ft chagoi to nibble on my fingers at work!! there's also a 3ft albino sturgeon in there which is so mine when we have a big enough pond!!

I'd so lve a sturgeon again they are so friendly, but since the two i had vanished I can't have any more.

( unless I buy one and sneak it into the pond

Line your handbag, slip it in and away you go, no one will know.
