Perfecto Glass Canopy Strength

I have a 48" long tank with a center support. I want two 24" Perfecto Glass Canopies for my tank. There is a problem. I have cats in my home. If one of my cats were to jump up on one of these, would it be strong enough, or would it break? They are not huge cats.

I would expect a small to average cat to have no effect on the 2 ft partial length of a 4 foot tank's cover. Small cats are quite light in weight and should pose no problem at all. More typical cat sizes may pose a bit more threat but should not overcome a typical tank's cover. Of course a large cat can be anything at all and you will need to use your own judgement on them.
