Fish Fanatic
I've had a male peppermint bristlenose in a heavily planted community tank for around a year now and in that time it has grown from about 3in to 5in in length. I was wondering how long this species lived for?
I also used to have a breeding pair of the more common variety of bristlenose in the same tank and once the peppermint cat got to a larger size the other 2 bristlenose ( which would have been around 2 years old) mysteriously died within the space of a couple of months. Is it possible the male peppermint cat killed them or had they reached the end of their life span?
Tank size is 66g, my water parameters are good and stable. Other tank mates include a breeding pair of angels, bolivian rams, 1 SAE, 1 clown loach, 4 Corys and a school of abound 15 small tetras.
