Finding it hard to get some info on them on the net so does anyone have one? i need to know how large they grow and how fast, also can the go with new world cichlids like the ones in my signature?

they COULD go with your fish, that depends on what size you buy it at. Also, they are very exspensive! They grow quite slow... but when large will be worth a FORTUNE!! They grow as large as a bristlenose. They also have the same diet as Bristlenose.

I dont know much bout cichlids but wouldnt they eat a small fish? i am guessing if you had a small one maybe it would get eaten. Make sure you got some hiding spots... alot of them.
thats all i can tell you, as i have had them b4. (they reached to 3" both). Lol they were getting sick so i sold them for $300 each. They are kinda exspensive :p

My LFS has a sale on for $30, there only like 1" big so i might go with one, thanks for the info.

Like most ancistrus species, they need meat & veg. So algae wafers & bloodworm.
A piece of bogwood may also be advantageous.

Keeping him with cichlids? Hmm. Most ancistrus prefer a neutral pH or slightly lower, I understand cichlids like it alkaline (not sure, not a cichlid nut)

Also, you may have trouble making sure he gets enough to eat as the cichids may steal all the food meant for him.

Most of what he owns are new world cichlids, so they don't live in high pH environment... ;) Besides, bristlenoses are often recomended in malawi and lake tang setups as well. I have one in my mbuna tank, which is pH 8 and she is doing great. Apparently most bristlenoses can adapt to wide ranges of environments very well - just about the only thing you must do is to make sure your tank is well oxygenated.

Had one of these years ago, loads of them in my LFS - only cost £12 , sadly only lasted 2 days. Very nice spieces anyway.

Fair enough! like I said, cichlids are not my bag.

Okay, we have peppermints for sale in Melbourne $30.00 or $25 each if you buy ten or more.
Ph, dont bother worrying about it l breed them at ph of 7 and a friend of mine breeds them in ph of 8 they will adapt to just about anything as will bn's.
We find that the cichlids dont bother them to much at all providing you have some hiding holes(small pipes are good)and as far as feeding each night as you turn out the lights drop in some sinking pallets/Flake or cucumber they will eat the lot before you wake in the morning.
