While touring the fantastic fish stores in my state capital today I fell in love with the little Peppermint Bristlenoses they had; I've not seen them in my local store. So tomorrow I'll be going to pick one up to take home with me - the only problem is I've got a long drive ahead of me that he'll have to put up with. I've transported fish that distance quite a few times before so I'm not too worried about that. The only thing is that if he doesn't survive it, it's a long trip back to get another one ;)

I'll update with how the drive goes and with photos once he's settled in.

He coped with the 6 hour drive quite well, but has vanished in my tank so have been unable to get any photos of the cute little guy :) Hopefully after he's settled in he'll make an appearance and I can take some photos of him.

Finally remembered to take a photo! He seems to have settled in now. My bigger Bristlenose chased him about a little at first but now they just ignore each other.

... looks like an L183? Never heard them referred to as peppermint, always as starlight :)

They are lovely, I had 3.

The LFS I got him from had them labelled as Peppermints, so that's what I assumed he was :)

Starlight is actually the wrong name to :p.... they should be labeled as white seam...however starlight or peppermint is becoming increasingly more often the labeled name. Peppermint is what they are usually called overseas with Australia been the most common place for the name.

Heh well I am in Australia, so that explains the name confusion ;)

He was tiny when I got him, only around 4cm. He's a little bigger now, around 6cm. But I've only had him for a month, so he's still got a fair bit of growing to go I'm sure :)

If he ever stays still long enough, I'll take another photo ;)
