Im not sure either, i know what they eat is tiny, and its virtually impossible to keep them alive, but ive had a few births by my 2 cleaners , the first birth i noticed was just after new year (4th jan) and ive still got quite a few alive from then! you can see the differing sizes between the different births. theres about 3 or 4 differnt sizes, at night they all come out, theres hundreds of them! I was told originally that they wouldnt be baby shrimp, but now that they are bigger, you can deffo tell that they are, they move the same and their eyes glow when light shone on them at night.
I do use marine snow every other day when feeding and cyclopeze every day, dont know if this is helping at all?
But i must be doing something right!. I actually saw one of my cleaners giving birth 2 weeks ago, wondered what the hell it was at first, as it was at night and i was doing my usual checks with a red lamp when i saw this white cloud, quite an amazing thing to watch, gave my 2 clowns a good feed though, as the shrimp did it right next to them.
