Hello hermit, I just happen to own 5 pepper cories(1 female and 4 males) and love them to bits. I've had mine breed on 2 occasions: one was spure of the moment, and one was planned. I find the main driving force in getting them to breed is doing a cold water change or dropping the temperature manually by a few degrees. Soon after, they went breeding in the formation of the
"T" position. My female always laid her eggs on the tank walls and usually in different shaded areas. I've never raised or hatched th eggs though. You see, parents(and other fish) will eagerly eat the eggs, sometimes as quick as they're laid so basically i wasn't quick enough.
For more info I would personally ask the moderator Inchworm(don't kill me for mentioning you
) who specializes in different cories and breeding some of them.
