Peppered Cory With A Cut?

Hi all,
 
Noticed a cut on my corys side this morning. I've been keeping an eye on him, and hes been pottering about happily. 
 
Is it just best to leave him be, as he seems to be acting normal.

Just do daily water changes for a few days at least, to prevent any secondar infection and check our decor for sharp objects.
