hi
have you got anything else in with the corys ??? if not i would think they will be fine going in with the adults by june. mine are only about 2/3months old & some of them are big enough to go with adult corys now, not chancing it yet thou as my adults are in a community tank with angels mollys & all sorts lol

hi trace1,at the moment iv got goldfish in with the cories but in may there moving to the brother in laws pond,so it will only be the 4 adult peppered cories in there.so u rek that by june theyd be fine with the adults?i really hope so as its hard enough to get someone to come in & look after 1 tank of fish, let alone 2 tanks, lol!!!!thanx for replying! :) x

hiya
not sure you should have the corys with goldfish as 1 or the other will be suffering. are you keeping it as a tropical or cold water tank ??? corys are more tropical although some can cope with lower temps & goldfish are coldwater fish. also goldfish are BIG poopers & corys need a tank that has a clean botton due to possible bacteria problems due to the fact they are bottom dwellers.
:D i think the sooner you can seperate the 2 the better for them all :D

hi trace1,the tank is kept at 24 degrees C (i havent got a heater in it,thats just its natural temp) and iv read in several threads that peppereds like the cooler temps.the goldies are thriving in there & the cories have not long done a second spontanious spawning (with no intentional conditioning first),so i would imagine there all ok & iv never had a out break of any disease of any kind yet (touch wood!).mind u,i do several gravel/sand vacs a week so the bottoms kept clean of goldie poop.like i said, the goldies are going in2 a pond come april/may (im waiting to make sure its warm enough for them to adapt easily first).then im just gona have a tank of cories & hopefully some of the fry will survive to go in there.thanx for the advice! :) x

cool the goldies will love the pond then  i should also think that the fry will then be ok to go in with the adults by june as well. :D

cheers trac1 for the advice & concern.another reason im waiting til april/may time to move the goldies is that im pretty attached to them.i rescued them from a friend of a friend who had 6 of them in the smallest bowl ever, with no filter, airstone or even plants.the water was like soup it was that dirty!unfortunatly two died but the others have grown from 1 inch to about 5 inches in 5 months.so i just wana make sure they can adapt easily & it wont cause them stress cus of what they went through at the beginig of there lifes.i am so looking foreward to having a tank of cories tho!!! :) x
