Peppered Cory Catfish - Male Or Female...

Hi guys, new to this site as you may know, so hello!!

Another quicky question for you... I have had x2 Peppered Cory Catfish for a while now, and am still not too sure how to decifer weather they are male or female?

Any ideas as to how you can tell...??

It is so difficult with corydora, but with my Peppered I find that the females are chunkier, wider & when full with eggs their tummies will sit on the tank floor & their heads & tails sit up in the water a bit.

The males are smaller, more streamlined, slimmer & have a slightly longer dorsal fin. The easiest way to tell if you have a male & female is to take a photo of them side by side from the top & compare.

This all only becomes apparent when they are fully grown though, while they are young, its pretty much impossible to tell them apart

I also have 2 pepper corys - one is growing bigger and darker than the other so I'm thinking this may be the female???
