Hi to all... Iam new hear and sorry for my bad language:(

So hear is my story about Pepper Cory.

Couple of weeks ago I found that one of my Corys got some kind of 'dropsy' or something like that
on his left side, but there has been no warning signs at all. A fue days ago I spoted that his left side
is now much much bigger than it was before. Can't finde anything on internet and never had that thing on other Corys before.
But... he is acting normal and eate well. More or les he doesn't show me any sign of illness.

If anyone can help

Tank size: 60L
pH:7.2
ammonia:0
nitrite:0
nitrate:0
kH:~8d
gH:15d
tank temp:~24-25C

Fish Symptoms (probable dropsy is located on left side of a body, it looks like something is going on under skin. there is no visible color changes on skin, everything is normal. Fish acting and eating normaly)

Volume and Frequency of water changes: 2-3times a week ~ 7-10L

Chemical Additives or Media in your tank: only a water conditioner

Tank inhabitants: 6 Corys

Recent additions to your tank (living or decoration): No, got live plants for more than 3month and nothing new.

I got some pictures, don't know if that be helpfull, but anyway tnx for help.

I really cant see much in the pic, and im no expert on diagnosis this either, but normally dropsy is terminal im afraid. Hopefully this comment gets you a bump to the top and your seen soon!

TNX, I can't get better ptc, I'll try later catsh him up in better angle for photo.

could you separate him and give him an antibiotic? if your water is good and always good it could be an internal infection maybe? as this could be contagious i'd treat the whole tank but theres other people on here that know much more than me. odd its one side and he seems fine, usually with dropsy they are near deaths door...

well it's a bit tricky because he shooting all around when I am trying to get him.
From medicine I got 'MELAFIX' wich is tee tree extract wich also is antibacterial treatment, but God knows if that is right treatment.

i think thats a herbal thing for flesh wounds... you need an internal infection treatment, interpet do one for dropsy, really you need to google an antibiotic that is recommended for dropsy. lots of people say maracyn two but i dont know if this actually is best or just a common answer :/

I think dropsy is terminal. I'm not an expert in this field but thought I would just add my penny.

i googled swollen on one side, their fish was treated for dropsy but it reoccured, maybe due to the kidney damage it can never be sorted? if he's eating and seems happy enough why not leave it for now just maintain healthy conditions

He may seem happy on the outside but he could be in pain...

I don't know this isn't my field. I don't think that Dropsy can be treated...

yeah, that MELAFIX is more or les for open wounds...

Big tnx to all who answer, I appreciate that! I'll try to get some antibiotics and keep an eye on him.
See how it goes.
