Peoples Ages Keeping Fish At

I have been keeping fish since i was 8 when i got a two footer from a friend.
The most addictive hobby i have ever come across.

i started when i was about 7 my big bro had tropical fish ( im now 39) my mum gave me all the books id collected as a kid a while back.. oh my how things have changed... apparently its not so cool to keep a goldfish in a trifle dish

also remember never being able to use the paddling pool as my dad always had trout in there... deprived childhood or what!

I might as well do it, im 26, been keeping fish for a while, use to keep fish when I was younger, mostly goldfish, also use to have a small guppy tank.
Stopped keeping fish for a long while then I accidently stumbled back into it when I saw a fish tank at the vets.
My parents have never really been into fish keeping, my dad likes my fish buts thats it.
My mum likes my plecos but they dont see the need for me to get another tank, even though its my house LOL.

I'm 38 now had my aquariums running for about 9 months now
My parents always had aquariums when I was yong and my dads always had a pond
So it's rubbed off on me

I'm almost 18 for the second time.

OK, ok, I'm 36 in a few weeks.

Also have a 5 year old who is an aspiring fish keeper (the 29g is his tank), and a 16 year old who would be if he thought it was cool. He has picked out fish and I may do a "cool fish" tank for his room eventually.

21, first tank was a 5g with a Goldfish & a Shubunkin when I was 10. Had a 20g community since I was 13, bought a 10g last week which I intend on being my first real planted tank but haven't decided on fish yet.

I'm new to this forum & literally spend in excess of 3 hours per day reading through threads on this forum & I'm really enjoying learning new things everyday.
