How do you stick things to it!! I've got the right hump because my intake and spray bar won't enter at the sides of the tank, so they have to go through the back and because the arms going over the back of the tank are designed to go over just glass, my intake and spray bar won't sit nice and flat and parallel to the back of the tank, they are hanging over the 3D background and therefore are at an angle and it drives me nuts. I've tried using underwater silicone but it doesn't stick. What tips and ideas have people got???

Amazing, I am the only person in the world with a 3D background and no brains :hyper:

Why don't you cut the 3D background where they go so they sit against the glass, then silicone along it so the fish can't get behind.

I have just made a DIY background that was 4 inches thick and faced similar problems with trying to use the Fluval filter intake/outlet pipe clamps. My solution was to get hold of some 32mm plumbing fittings - 45 and 90 degree bends. Although obviously you don't have the exact same issue but is there something you could silicone to the top of background above water level or onto a glass cross member in order to direct all the bits and pieces in the right direction?

Silicone is not a glue it is a sealant it needs to be used as such. You need to hold whatever you wish to stick to the area you want it stuck until the silicone has dried which normally takes 24 hours. Super glue can be used but it doesn't set when submerged. What material is the background made from?
