Ever heard of it? I googled it on google images and got this.

Pretty peckoltia.

And then this 1 showing it's colours.

Would 1 fit in my 15gal hex tank with 3 puffers?
It says in many of my fish books that they only grow to 6cm. Is this true?

Some peckoltias do stay pretty small but not sure about the 6cm thing. I think the pics there show 2 different fish to be honest. Quite a lot of differences between the two also the ones with the defined stripes dont go that mottled where as some like the top are always mottled I have some L135s and they look like the top ones.

Not sure how the plec would mix with puffers...

I thought about plecs because they have harder scales than most fish. I also forgot to put this in with my post.
Will a plec or a small scavenger (that goes well with puffers) be ok in a hex tank?

I believe some people have success with ottos and DPs, the DPs usually ignore them. Few reasons why Im unsure of puffers with the plec. Firstly puffers are messy fish and plecs are even messier so I worry that without a really good external filter the water will get really polluted really quick. Also where as plecs can withstand heavy cichlids I worry how their scales would withstand the puffers beaks. I dont know if people have tried the two because of tank size thing, most people keep puffers in 10-15g and I think the above reasons (the first being the main) put people off them.

Erm I believe just the standard ottos that people mix with them but it is pretty hit and miss from what I gather - maybe post a subject in the oddball section there are a lot of good puffer people in there
