Pearl Gourmis

My pearl Gourmis has started to have a patch of red inflamed looking patch under his / her mouth.

I am aware that the males develop this but im thinking otherwise

He was introduced into tank only a few days ago

The yeast from my co2 reactor leaked in

Im thinking there maybe something wrong with the water

I have :

Replaced 25% of water this morning ( being a new tank i only replaced 25% )

Added a activated carbon mix in my canister filter to clear milky / brown stain to water ( bogwood & small traces of yeast )

He is constantly swiming against the glass at front, not swiming around tank like he used to.

well you did the right thing in a water change, have you checked the ph? as the co2 can afect this especialy if its leaked into the tank,
i dont realy no much about gourmis, i kept them once but not for long as they were very aggresive with my other fish, i think that some one else will be able to answer this one for you who has had experiance with gourmis,

Woke up this morning and damb !

The carbons worked a treat the water is a lot clearer all ready.

The Brownish colour has totally gone

Gourmis redness has gone down quite a lot and he seems happier

So bingo im happy, now what else can i nacker up in it............lets have a look
