I got a female peacock gudgeon 2 weeks ago, with a big ole yellow belly, but no males in my tank. While it's possible she got fertilized at the fish store, can anyone tell if the eggs are fertilized inside her?

Is it possible for her to have babies or should I get a male? Is it fine if I just go pick any male from the same store?

Thanks!

These fish do not have internal fertilisation. The female lays the eggs then the male fertilises them. There can be no babies without a male.

Are those both the same fish?

It is highly unlikely she has eggs in her right now, and if she does, the male has to fertilize them when she lays them. It is impossible to have peacock gudgeon fry without a male.
I've bred them multiple times
