Hi guys,
Got a nice deal at an auction for some of these guys. What I have seems to be juvies, about 3/4 of an inch long. They are not the colours of the adult pics I see, they're right pale on the body with some colour on the fins. I assume that the colour comes with age-am I correct and if so when?
thanks,
jeffb

At 3/4" they should already have their colours, at this size they are already half the size they will be when adult. A possible reason for the lack of colour could be stress from moving, give them a couple of days in a darkened tank and feed some good quality live food and see if their colours come back.

You have got a nice little Gobie there, good luck with them. Their lack of colour is probably from the stress of the journey and sale as CFC said.

I'm also very interested in keeping these fish can anyone expand on the information already given . Like what time of year are they available , what do they like to eat , water parameters and any breeding experience ?. Can they be kept with dwarf cichlids , such as apistos , rams , curviceps . Or what other types of fish can be kept with them . I have also heard these fish referred to as" peacock gudgeons " and "rainbow gobies" . [ tateurndina ocellicuada] . thanks for any help . LUCKY
