Preparing parrot food is not so different from preparing food for your family. Critical to a healthy diet are essentials like fruits and vegetables, particularly those laden with Vitamin A. Protein and carbohydrates are essential as well. Your parrot will happily peck his way to happiness and health on a feast of well-cooked meats such as a variety of fowl. Their health is also enhanced by adding fish, rice, eggs and pasta to the menu of parrot food.

good to know. i would love a parrot. my dad kept lots of birds when i was young, budgies, cokatoos/tiels :/ quails... i would never think of feeding a bird pasta tho!

They eat meat like fowl? Wow I'll have to look into that some more. They aren't predatory to smaller birds are they? That's really scary... I didn't expect parrots to eat such things...

I bet lots of animals live much longer than their usual life span if they were fed more human grade food or nutrients. Lots of people are surprised my goldfish are 6 years old and going strong when theirs just die within a few days.... goes to show how critical research is before owning a pet :D

I'm not sure, but I think this poster will soon be providing some sort of spam. This is an unusual first post on a tropical fish based forum.

Not to mention, parrots vary hugely! Not all parrots have the same needs

The op might mean parrot fish XD
