parents actually letting me get a betta tank!

well my mom actually likes the idea. But my dad isnt so sure because he thinks that the females will kill eachother. I told him that with four there will be a pecking order, but Im not sure he believes that.

It will be either a 10 or 15. How many bettas can go into them. Females only though. Also is there a site or anything that I could print out for my dad which will talk about the pecking order with the females? Im hoping to get it today, so I need the info quick.

Id really love a 20 gallon one, but I think thats pushing it, lol.

Oh also without filtration or aeration because they dont like it, what kind of tank mates can they have? Snails maybe? Or some kind of shripm or crabs?

Depending on the size of the tank, I would do 4 females for a 10 gallon, 5 for a 15 gallon, and 6 to 8 for a 20 gallon.

As far as no filtration or aeration, In a larger tank you will have stale water fast. I would at least get a few sponge filters, or even a whisper 5 for the tank. Also make sure you have a cover as I am sure you already are aware that they like to jump.

yup, one of mine jumped through such a tiny air whole on her tank, lord knows how she even fit though it. Im having my brother make me a top. hes good at those kind of things.
