Parasites?

Hey all,
I just bought a pair of Pelvicachromis taeniatus a couple of days ago.
When I first got them, the female appeared to be a little swollen around the anus but I figured this might be due to her getting ready for spawning.

This morning I realized a weird structure hanging from her anus. Does anyone have an idea what this is? Is it a parasite? Digestion issues? Or somehow related to spawning?

I'd be happy for any tips or ideas you guys might have!

If I had to guess I’d say it’s something that she has passed that’s very sticky. In the first pic there seems to be a gap between her and it... is her breeding tube out? Maybe an egg gone wrong?
