Parasites!

There are tiny little white worm-like things crawling all over the glass inside my tank. Does anybody know what they are and if they'll hurt my fish?

I've asked this before on several boards and the response has always been the same: planaria, harmless, due to overfeeding. Personally, I drop the level of feeding for a couple of days and they go away. Nothing else seems to really work (i.e. anti-parasite medication, algae eaters, drastic water changes). However, none of my cichlids have ever died and they're all really healthy, so I figure they're pretty harmless, but gross.
