Parasite?

I noticed a tiny wiggly worm in my tank this weekend – it was white, vey thin and about half a cm long – not sure what it was. I’ve not fed my fish live food for ages so I doubt it’s live food, but I did add some live plants recently and I wonder if it could be a parasite? My bumblebee cichlid ate it! Will she be ok if it is a parasite? Should I treat my tank? What's a good parasite treatment? I’ve not noticed any parasites on the fish.

Probably a planarian m8.....

harmless but does indicate environmental problems/often overfeeding and or lack of maintenance/water changes.....

there is some threads on them in here - I'll have a look when I've time or try the search facility
