I have been having problems lately with two of my zebra danios. They haven't been eating for 2 or so weeks, and now are looking extREMEly thin. Very sunken bellies. I'm vurry worried!! :( Anyways, I treated the tank with a broad spectrum antibiotic in case of an internal infection of any kind, to no avail. One thought about eating, but now doesn't even come near the top at feeding time anymore (neither does the other.. he's much worse). They are listless, and just hang around the bottom in around the same area. Since the antibiotic did no good (used it for a 3 course, 5 day cycle), I'm going to try to treat for parasites now. They aren't pooping (not eating!), so I can't check for white stringies, but this is the only other thing I can think of. They aren't showing any other external signs. Anyways, I have been researching the web for parasites meds, and I'd like some advice! There are quite a few!

I've looked into "Clout", which seems to stain, and I'm not a fan of that, but my silicone is already stained from Quick Cure and I don't notice anymore anyway. :p Anyone have experience with that product? Also, I've read about Jungle Fizz Tabs - they almost seem to good to be true, cheap and supposed to clear all internal and external. Opinions? Experiences?

Also - note, I have a sunset platy who is also very sick, I have moved her from the 6 to a breeding net in the 10. She seemed to be getting better during the course of antibiotics, but now is on a downward spiral. She stopped eating, and is skin and bones. Same problem maybe? -_-

i have had very good luck with the jungle fizz tablets I think it works great the way you said your fish was it sure wouldnt hurt to try it. I havent never had the problem of one not eating before. I sure hope you find something in enough time to save the poor little babies.

I usually use Sterazin for internal parasites, its quite potent and will kill snails and other inverts, but its good for zapping the little uglies :)

I would raise the temp to 84F as this seems to perk the fish up, strenthen the fish and drive out parasites. Other good meds include metronidazole, read some good info on it and internal parasites HERE.

Hope all works out ok :)
