Hello,

I've noticed every feeding time the Pangasius my mate gave me about a month or so back always hoovers up the food and leaves with an insanely bloated stomach, leaving other fish hungry. I believe this was the cause of my Pangs death.

Anyway, I noticed last night that he'd eaten too much so I seperated him and put him in another tank, he was fine swimming about, no distress, well filtered and airrated.

I wake up this morning to see him upside down with a huge bloated stomach, i touch him to see if hes alive and he goes crazy swimming upside down along the top.

I have taken him out and put him in a bucket of the water from his main tank and added some aquarium salt. He seems to be slightly better as in Iv seen him try to venture to the depth and turn up right. But he's still 99% of the time (Iv only been awake half hour) upside down.

Any idea what this is and how to treat it?

Thanks.

What are you feeding the fish?

Over feeding can lead to health problems, and even bursting of the intestines.

Epson salt baths to draw the fluids out.
Don't feed him for a few days.
maybe only shelled peas and that's it.

Improved throughout the day at higher temp.

My dad has taken him as he is better equiped to care for him than I am here.

Thanks for the update.
