Hey, I saw some panda corys down at the shops this afternoon. And been reading as much as i can off these forums. I was wondering how well they go in with guppies, female fighters, harlequins and american flag fish? I was reading that they are hard to keep, i dont have much for them to live in. Got a couple of plants, and a rock with a hole in it. Also im going away in december for about 6 weeks, and moving them to the gf's place and moving them back, will this upset them alot? Wat temperature do they like? I have my heater set so my tank is always about 22'c cause of my other fish not liking to high a heat. Thanks in advance.

Hi Bozza :)

C. Pandas are cute little fish, but they do tend to be more delicate than most of the other corys. I've found mine do best when kept by themselves or with some of the dwarf species of corydoras.

If you do try them, I would suggest waiting until after you return home to get them.

The temperature of your tank would probably be OK, but it's at the bottom of the acceptable range for them. Other corys that would do well in your tank include either the bronze or albino C. aeneus or the C. paleatus.

I was thinking of getting the cory's after i came back. I have also been wondering wither i should turn my heater up just to 24'c. As i do more research into the types of fish i want to maintain in the current tank i will adjust the temperature that is more suitable for all fish. Also i thought id ask, wat temperature do american flag fish prefer? Is 22'c to lower a setting for them? I have been unable to find that much info about them, and cant get info from my local fish guys cause they are so rare in my part of the world. Thanks in advance
