Hi all, I have had my Panda Cory for about a month now. I only have one since there was only one left and thought I would get more (4-5) when more come in, unfortunatly none have as of yet. I don't see him eating very often, I have catfish pellets that I put in one a day, about 4-5. I'm not sure if he gets them, I see my betta and mollies eat them tho. Does he eat poo? I have seen him do this more than once and in mornings theres not as much as there was the night before. If so is this ok? I will be buying algea pettets at teh weekend.

He should eat flake food that drops down when you feed the other fish. Try frozen bloodworm. No cory refuses those!

Cories do not eat waste Mata. They do eat any surplus food that reaches the bottom on the tank though. You are feeding algae wafers intended for plecos and expecting the cory to live on them. That is not such a great idea. Cories definitely like a meaty diet, not algae wafers. The mollies are quite big fans of vegetable matter and are probably the ones eating those algae wafers. A betta will eat almost anything but will do best eating mainly live bugs. The next most appropriate food for the betta is going to be animal protein foods of one form or another.

What you need to do is get an egg cup, put a little of your tank water in it, then put your fish flakes in and swish it around. Then pour the lot into your tank - you will find instead of floating on the top it will sink immediately thereby giving the cory a chance to get some before its all gobbled up. :good:

If there's no sign of any more pandas coming in can you try another shop maybe? If not you could get some cories of another species. I'm sure your panda would still appreciate the company even if they're another type! They are better in a group.
