Panda Catfish

If you think that your tank can handle more fish then i'm sure they will be fine as long as you quartine them well and get them used to the water as pandas are said to be rather delicate, but i suppose you know all this already.

My experience with pandas haven't been too great. I got two one day and put them in a quarantine tank, after a couple of days i found one of them had got stuck behind the sponge filter sum how and died :( . The other died soon after after moving him to the community tank.

Don't let me put you off these fish as that was only one time and i haven't seen them again in the shops.
Most of the cory species get along well together but they may stay a bit seperate from each other occasionally if the colouration is quite different.

Any how, if you do get them i wish you good look.

Ben

Pandas do much better in groups between 5-8. I have 5, which are a breeding group, and when I first got some, I only got two. I wanted to get different pandas from different LFS's to increase the gene pool. I got another 3 the following week, and the behavior change in the first two was amazing. They'd been so shy, but once the other 3 joined them, they were extremely happy and swam around non stop. I have heard they are very difficult to keep, touch wood, I've not had a problem. I did have a group of bronze and albino cories at the time and they all seemed to get on. I've since re homed the bronze and albino and introduced a group of 5 sterbai (also from different LFS's). They get on too and the pandas try get the sterbai into the mood when they spawn.

Just make sure your LFS has had them a while and not had major losses before you purchase them. Quarantine is best, and I'm sure if they are healthy, you won't be sorry.

:D
