I've had a bad case of paleness on my betta for a while. Whenever I wake up in the morning, I find that the water is cold, and my betta is pale. So I take some of the the cold water out with a cup, and replace it with warm water. Then, my betta regains his color again. At night, it would sometimes happen again. Sometimes he's so pale, you can see his innards. But strangely, sometimes, when I wake up, I do not find him pale, but perfectly fine. I felt the water, and it was still just as cold as all the other times. He even made a really big bubblenest. Why is it that when the water is cold, my betta only sometimes turns pale? When I woke up this morning, the water was not warm at all, but cold, and he was still doing great, with all his color. But i'm sure that at night, i'll find him pale again, and i'll have to change the water. I worry that if I am gone for a few days, he will be pale for days, and might get sick. I don't think cold water is entirely the reason for his constant and persistant paleness. Any other things that can cause paleness to a betta other than cold water? Thank you, and have a nice cracker.
