Pale algae/fungus?

I have some sort of pale fuzzy algae growing on the mopani wood in my tank. It almost looks like it's growing fur! It's kind of creamy in colour, and I haven't been able to find anything like it on the site. Any ideas, anyone?

I saw an article that The Wolf wrote on fungi. Have you looked up the descriptions there?

Yes, that was one of the articles I checked out. My 'fuzz' doesn't sound like anything there...

No Iggy - it almost looks like velour!
