Hello

I have a 65l (17gallons) tank that has been running for about 8 months now.

I’ve got 4 platy fish and 6 Pygmy cory. I am wanting to add a real statement fish to finish the tank off. I’ve narrowed it down to GBR’s, Apisto’s (my LFS has the Agassizii variety) and honey gourami.

I know the honey’s will be fine but I worry about the cichlid pairs during mating season. Am I best to just get one if I do go that route?

Im open to any suggestions

Thanks!

For 17 gallons, you're tight. If platys are thriving, you probably have medium to hard water. So I would go with honeys.

I'd not add any more fish. If I were to add something, that would be a few more pygmys. Your platys will breed and your tank will be full very soon, trust me...
