Painting my Pleco

I'm painting portraits of all my fish and I'm starting with my clown pleco. I just thought I'd put the starting sketch out there for people to see. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Looking good! In the process of trying to find a way to name my fish by trying to find identifying marks on them.. only managed to get 5 with distinctive marks so far

They look incredible! I'm assuming it's water colour. They looks so realistic. The tone and gradient all work in unity. With the goldfish I can see the personality and individuality coming through so vividly. Absolutely incredible.
