So in my front room I have a Rena aqualife 600 with beech stand and beech trimmings and a Juwel trigon 190 which is all in black.
I'm desperate to get these tanks matching (OCD don't ask lol) and as it's out of the question to turn the trigon 190 beech without buying a brand new set up i'm planning on painting the Rena 600 black. Just wondering has anyone ever painted beech and what sort of paint would you recommend for the best results?

These are pictures of the tanks not my actual tanks but ones I have taken from google just to give you an idea of what im working with. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thankies

Ive seen people vinyl wrap tank stands and they look fantastic so may be worth looking into

I painted the back/sides of three of my 1m tanks with ordinary blackboard paint. It took a couple of coats to get the even colour, but easy enough. Having done so, I used ordinary Silicon sealer to attatch polystyrene tiles to them to reduce heat loss, a negligable saving but cheap and easy, so what.

Vinyl wrap or spray rubber for both (you can peel it off later without damaging the finish/colour underneath)

Think I might try the vinyl wrap approach theres just so many little odd bits n bobs that would be hard to do. But I have to have these matching lol

While ive never wrapped a stand yours looks like its got plenty of places for tucking over the edges and making it look reasonably good! lol
