Painting A Lid?

I have just bought a 7gal for my new betta, and I'm really happy with it except for one thing - the colour of the lid. It's bright blue and bright green! Obviously as its only a small tank the lid is plastic - is there anything I can do to change the colour? Like paint it or something??

Rememebr to take it off paint.. dry.. put back on

Rub it down with some medium wet/dry paper... used wet, to provide a key - then use car spray paint.
Away from the fish obviously !

Ooh ok - my Dad has jags and he sprays them sometimes so Im sure he will do that 4 me!! Lol thanks!
