Pacu Or Silver Dollar(Tinfoil Barb)

Hello, I have what is said to be a "Pacu" but everytime I look at him or look up a picture of a "Pacu" and a "Silver Dollar" I lean more towards Silver Dollar. He is about 6" long and about 3-4" tall has some red on the end of his back fin but no red on his belly. I was just wondering is there anyway to determine a "Pacu" from a "Silver Dollar".

Difficult mate, problem is with juveniles of pacu's/silver dollars and pirahna is they all look very similar, however i might also lean towards pacu from what i have seen, a former member i know who had a fish shop had some juvi pacu once, they looked so much like yours, he got them as red bellied pirahna,

I believe the pacu teeth are not developed very well when young so it might be a little tricky to tell

pacu look to be 'fatter' than dollars. how wide is your fish ? silver dollars are very slim.

He is maybe 1" wide. He also is shiny when looked at in the right angle.
