Turns out Bichirs either regurgitate pellets, like an Owl, or pass them at the other end… My Bichir ate an 8-9 inch common pleco, a while back, ( I would never guessed it possible )… doing a few minutes of maintenance tonight, and I noticed that one of 2 double sized hang on back filters, wasn’t flowing hardly at all… the silver dollars work over the Java ferns, and I’m often pulling babies out of the screened inlet… I pulled one out, to clean it, and there was a big pleco skull, with bones all balled up around it, ( like an Owl pellet ), stuck in the inlet… I ended up wrecking it, getting it out, before I realized what it was…
Makes me wonder if they regurgitate it up, like an Owl???
