Overtank T5 Tubes

I have a 4 foot overtank T5 unit above my Juwel Vision 240 with 3 28w tubes, 2 white and 1 Blue Actinic.

I want to put some more powerful white tubes in but cant find what the limits are on the ballast.
I bought it off Ebay and its made by HaiYang and the only label on it is in chinese!

Does anyone have any idea what the limits on a unit like this are likely to be,
i dont want to buy tubes only to kill the unit and have to go back to the Juwel T8 unit that came with the tank.

Do you want us to guess ? LOL The ballast units all tend to look the same, theres no real way of telling without the specs.... did they not state this in the auction ? could you email the seller if not ?
If it was supplied as a lighting unit, ie with tubes etc, then I would assume that they will only drive that sized tube.

If its that much of a guessing game, I would buy another unit you know will do the job... electronic gear for 2/3/4 tubes is only about £30 these days, I wouldnt take the chance - you could have a fire on your hands

Thanks. I just wasn't sure if the units were all variable or if they had set limits, ie, mine has 3 28w tubes so its limit would be 100w total.
It was sold with the tubes,i've emailled the seller but still no response yet.

I've just looked at a twin starter unit that takes 2 55w compacts so i may go for that.
