Doe's having an overstocked tank cause the water to be slightly cloudy? I have a overstocked 30 gal, but all my water parameters are good. My water always seems cloudy, even shortly after water changes. My tanks been up for about 4 months now so I don't think it's a bacterial bloom. I'm working on moving some fish out of the tank. -_-

Thanks

I didn't overstock my 29 gallon, but I think I added too many fish at once. My tank has been set up for about 5-6 months and abot 2 weeks ago I had REALLY cloudy water. I was thinking it was a bacteria bloom. I did a 50% water change every other day until it cleared up. It took about 3 days.

Mine always looks great after a water change, then after a few days it's cloudy again. How long has your tank been clear for?

Mine did that too. I did a 50% water change (by hand  ) and the next day it would still be cloudy. I did a 30% water change the next day. Then I tested my water and found out I also had a nitrite spike. :-( So I started to change 80% of the water everyday. Ever since I did the 80% water change, I've been cloud-free. :p

I usually do a weekly water change, but I might try and do a couple per week. It's a pain in the butt!

if evrything is fine, water qualoty etc, try aqua clear. my tank was cloudy and i used that, and then it was perfect! But i did use more than said because it wasnt enough the first time

That might be worth a try. I might even add another filter. My 10 gal only has a couple fish in it and I'm using a Aquaclear mini filter. The water is always crystal clear. I wish my 30 gal was like that. Thanks for your help.
