Over/under-Stocked?

Hi,
I've managed to figure out, finally, how to change my signature at the bottom of this page.
After some advice i have made a few changes in stocking level.
The changes are highlighted in bold.

I was advised to get rid of the angels, but they've been in there for a couple of years and are happy enough to breed, so i thought i'd leave them in. I don't think i could bear to see them go, either way!!!

So, the big question is: Is my tank overstocked?

All tank specs are available from the link in my sig., i am running an additional Aquis 700 canister filter (explained n a previous post).

Ooops, the neon tetra, should read cardinal tetra.

Good, I think Cardinals are better than Neons in every way possible.

can i ask what electric blue you have? is it Johannii?

If so i believe they can be aggressive, too aggressive for the majority of the fish you have in there, and also your tetras and danios would do best in groups of at least 6.

I'd be inclined to rehome the Zebra Danios, as they need water much cooler than Rams (~21C v ~28C), plus a 620T is going to horribly cramp these active fish.
Its a case of when, not if, you go over to your tank and find missing Cardinal Tetras... Eventually, they will become live snacks for the Angelfish!
If your tetras are not nipping at the fins of others, it is pretty likely you do not have Serpae Tetra, but regardless their numbers could do with being increased by a few more.

I've got a 620T myself and despite their volume capacity, these tanks are not the easiest to stock, as they are basically two 2-foot tanks stacked on top of each other (while a "normal" 130l would be at least a 3-footer).

I thought it was Neons you can't keep with Angels, not Cardinals?

It's pretty much any 'torpedo shaped' fish of that size. An adult angel won't think "oops, that's a Cardinal, not a Neon"! If it's the same size and shape it'll be eaten!

i thought you could keep both with angels, its just when the angels spawn they other fish should stay clear

Angels are all of different characters like all cichlids. I have one that is an aggressive hunter of neons and a pair that are pretty mellow and easy going community members. Remember that neons are the natural food for Angels and a more aggressive bigger angel will probably not question the fish to find out if it is a neon or a cardinal.

I would be inclined to say the tank is slightly overstocked. BUT keep an eye on aggression, fish death, and water stats. Or buy a bigger tank.
