My guinea pig keeps grinding her teeth together and she's not really being herself ...
But then again she's eating fine :/ Hay,Veg etc
I tried opening her mouth and from what i saw the front one's did look pretty long but I'm not gonna force her mouth wide open to see the back one's.... Soo I'm thinking Vets but from what Ive heard that idea scares me as i know Guinea pigs don't do well under anesthetic, What should i do?.

Hi tony
guinea pigs chatter there teeth when they are unhappy or been grumpy boys especially if she is eating well i doubt they are a problem :)

cutting the front teeth is not done while the piggy is asleep they cant feel them been cut and it doesnt hurt them I used to do it myself to rabbits I rehomed

the back teeth would need the piggy to sleep however I know you are worried about the meds and her wakeing up but if you dont have them done and they are a problem she may end up starving herself but as you say shes eating fine
I have had lots of pigs put to sleep for ops normally to be neutered lol and all where ok

how long have you had her ? does she live alone ?
sorry for the questions

regards scot
