Hey guys and gals.
Is it possible to over filter a tank?
Basically ive found an Eheim 2329 on ebay thats really cheap and was considering putting in my Rio 125 ( i know crazy huh). Would it be like a tidal wave or would it be ok?

That filter will be just fine! :good: Its better to over-filter than to under-filter

Thanks alot. You've stopped be worrying.
I knew it was good and possible to over filter a tank but i thought this would be insane. The enormity of that filter compared to my tank is massive.
Just got to make sure i win this filter now ;)
Thanks again.

To help you stop worrying. I have a fluval FX5 on a 3' tank I get a theoretical turnover of 50 times per hour (probably actually more like 30 X)

I wanted a flowing river through my tank and thats what I got. It is not crazy though just a fast flowing stream. :D

Aslo your overfilter will allow you to slightly overstock the tank if you want. Im doing somet similar on my 125L with the 2236 :)
