Scorched Earth
Well, we only got Summer just over 2 months ago. We've been taking her for walks and she's loved it. Only thing is, she is desperate for a friend. If we come across other dogs, she so wants to play with them, but 9 times out of 10, they just don't want to play. Normally because they are too old. She made friends with some Golden Retrievers so we thought we'd start looking for a Goldie friend for her.
Anyway, we weren't going to rush into anything and thought it would be a few weeks, maybe even months before we found "the one". We normally just know when we find it, you get "the feeling" if you know what I mean. Anyway, I came across a breeder in Derby who breeds Flat Coated Retrievers. I looked into them before we got Summer, so last Saturday we went to look at pups and came home with a beautiful almost 3 month old little girl. Her kennel name was Ladyleys Seraphin, or Phin for short. But the kids decided between the three of them that they LOVED the name Phoebe.
They have really settled down well together and Summers entire attitude has changed. She is a much happier puppy and training this new little one is easier because she is following what her "big sister" does.

And with the kids on summer holidays now, it's been great fun. The pups are entertained by the kids constantly and the kids are entertained by the pups.
