Just need a heatmat, sponges (natural), some food bowls and sand.
We're not sure about feeding yet. You can buy pellets for hermit crabs and apparantly they also eat some veggies like cucumber but ours have turned their nose up at the pellets. Wil have to check when I get home if they've eaten any.
They seem to love climbing though. Bruce gets right up to the summit of that log thing and looks like a little mountaineer.
Plus despite what certain websites say, ours are very friendly when handled and dont pinch at all.
They prefer humidity but they only drink through a sponge and can drown in water. We've got little steps on our water bowl so they can get out if they need to. Its so weird that you get hermit crabs living in marine tanks and then get these guys who dislike water quite a bit and prefer nice warm dry sand and humidity.
