I struggled to settle my Ottos in when I first got them, I actually lost 3 of them from I think lack of food. My last remaining one seems to only eat of glass too so when I do need to feed him I tend stick the algea wafer on my lettuce clip so it's touching the glass and he does seem to have a nibble on it now and then. :good:

ok thanks. il probably just try sticking it on a plant or something so its so close 2 the glass its impossible 2 miss, if not il just push it down there throat lol

My oto's will feed on cucumber and algae wafers on the substrate (although it took them a while to do this at first), but they are shy fish and i find that putting the food near densely planted area's is the best way to encourage them out. Feeding them at night just before or after the tank lights are turned of is also good for them too as they are generally more bold at such times in my experience as the other fish are settling down for the night  .

i try to feed mine but i seen to have the same prob as toppman but they are still alive (touch wood)

If there's enough algae they'll probably ignore wafers. Once they get comfortable enough they won't stay on the glass the entire time. Mine seem to like investigating new "perches" in the tank so I put in a lid (of a glass bottle) and drop a wafer inside it. The ottos always investigate the lid and end up finding the wafer, but they hardly eat any of it.
