Is there something I'm doing wrong here? I skinned it, chopped it up, blanched it in boiling water for about 30 seconds, then dropped it in... But they didnt eat it. So umm, am I missing something?

None of my fish will eat cucumba and try it many times to no effect., but they love peas, cabbage, broc.

You may have better results getting them to eat cucumbers if you clip it to the side of the tank rather than just dropping it in. Cucumbers float and the otos aren't likely to attach on to it while it is floating around the tank.

yeah, i noticed that so I solved the problem by putting a piece of gravel in it...sinks right to the bottom like that, but they still aren't eating it :dunno:

They will probably eat it if it is attached to the side of the tank with a veggie clip. They prefer to hang on the side of the tank. When I had otos, I rarely saw them around the bottom of the tank.
