Well this morning at around 9:30am when my tank lights come on i sat in my bed and watched the tank while i was TRYING to get out of bed. (the tank is too the left of my bed)

Everything seemed fine except for one thing...i saw a little baby otto!!! :good:

IM pretty sure its an otto fry unless neon tetra fry stick to the glass just like otto's, lol. :p

It had the exact same characteristics as my otto's and looked the exact same as in body shape except it was practically see through except for what looked like a little vein going through most of it. :S

Im so exstatic! The otto's are in my 35g planted tank (in my avator) and actually bred without me even lifting a finger.

I know this has been done bye someone before but still amazing

I was just going to ask; i am not planning to take them out of the tank and its just the survival of the fittest and thats if any survive. But is their anything i can do to help them? I had maybe 6 otto's in the tank and now i only see one otto on the glass. I hadnt seen the others for a couple of days and then i spotted the baby, hahahaaha.

B) Thanks for your future help! B)

P.S: when i spotted him i ran and got my camera but the flipping thing wouldnt turn on for some reason! :grr:

What other fish are in the tank, aslong as there are no fish that would eat them all you could get alot of fry.

um, lol i just went to look at the tank and i spotted one so i tapped my finger on the glass.

I think a zebra danio might have thought i was pointing at food at gobbled up the otto fry.

the tank has this:
1 keyhole cichlid
5 zebra danio
4 choprae danio
7 cardianl tetra
and any unknown amount of otto's.

I think there might be some still around since my java moss carpet is ideal to hide in for fry.

Mine bred last year, but the babies all got eaten within 24 hour's you can't mistake them can you they act just like the Adult Otos.

i cant find anymore.

hopefully some have tooken refuge in the java moss until there big enough to come out and play and not get eaten.

i had guppy fry that i was feeding to my baby piranha but i saved two and their living in the tank alright.

but there no longer bite size

hahahaha, today i did all my water changes in my tanks and i pruned and all the things for my weeklies.

and so im pruning my 35g and its alot colder then usual and i noticed that the water was around 74-76.

hahahahaahha, my heater broke which is sucky but i guess it made the rainy season effect which must of made them spawn.

i think atleast?
