hi in need of some advice i have a 15 gallon tank set up and would like to add some otos just wanted to know if they would be ok with the other fish i have and if i may be over crowding the tank by adding more fish so far i have 8 neons 2 corys 2 amano shrimp and 2 apple snails.

In terms of your tank size and current stocking I can't see anything wrong with adding 2-4 otos if that's what you want to do and the tank is reasonably mature.

In terms of water chemistry, we always ask newcomers how long the tank has had water in it, what their ammonia and nitrite readings are and how they tested for those and what method they used to cycle the filter. Let us know those things or ask about them if they don't make sense.

Welcome to TFF!

Corys and otos both like to be in large-ish groups. I think overall your fish would be happier if you added a couple more corys rather than a few otos.

Having said that, otos would be fine with any of the other fish you have.
