I bought two otos two days ago to control the algea in my 29 gallon tank, and they ate all of the algea by the end of the next day. I've read on the internet and my petstore told me to feed them algea pellets, but they just ignore the pellets and keep looking for algea. Ive even tried to hend feed them, but they just go scavenging right past the food. The two little guys dont look sick or anything and are acting normal. I have also tried to feed them normal fish flakes and bloodworms, to no sucess.

Any one have any suggestions?

It can take several days or even weeks for some fish to adapt to their new environment so give them a little time. Shoring up their numbers may help them feel more comfortable too so see about getting another two or three if you can.

Don't worry about it, my pleco was the same way he cleaned all the algae in a couple days but would not eat for a week or to but once he got hungry enough he changed his attude and started eating. ;)

Try weighing down some blanched veggies or cucumber as well as the algae waffers. It may well be that they simply haven't figured out the whole pellet thing yet but it may also be an idea to start growing algae on some rocks and rotating them in and out of the tank to feed the otos temporarily until you know they've begun to eat the pellets or veggies. A lot of otos die of starvation because people don't feed them so be aware that they do need to be fed just like any other fish and, though they'll be ok for a short while, they certainly won't survive indefinately.
