After a lot of research i have decided to add a couple of otto's to my 24g planted community tank.

However i just wanted to check that they would be ok with the the following fish:

Black Widow Tetras, Harlequin Rasboras and a Dwarf Gourami?

Thanks :)

i can`t see any problems there, mine klive with full size opaline goramis and angels with no problem

Oto are great!

I guess you'll have to g**gle it for the online shop.

3 of my 4 LFS didnt have Oto in, infact they told me they'd never had them, i'm suprised considering how fab they are.

I just bought 6 Ottos this morning!

They didnt even hit the bottom of the tank and they were already sucking up algae :good:

Excellent little things!!

Yeah, I got this oto last 2 weeks, I like it. I only have one in my tank and it is not enough for only 1 to clean my 3 feet tank. I am planning to get more but it is hard to get in LFS...

I used to rear Chinese Algae Eater, but they are not a good thing as they killed my fishes. I love oto because of its color and it is kind and hardworking... :)

Another good thing about it is, it won't grow bigger, it has got nice small body size... :)

I have got 3 ottos they live with my gouramis, rams and BN pleco.

Get along just fine. Really are cool fish too. Loads of character.

I'm having a similar problem as chris trying to find them.

As a last resort I know Tri-mar had them in stock last week ready for mail order so you might want to check there if you're still stuck for them chris.

Thanks Karuna :)

I've tried 3 of my lfs's and no luck so far. Going to ring a couple more this weekend and hopefully at least one will stock them!

If i still have no luck i will probably order them from trimar.

Found a shop that stocks them! - Maidenhead aquatics at York.

Karuna - maybe you could try your local Maidenhead aquatics (if you have one) just a thought.

ty for the thought Chris but the nearest one to me is a 2-3 hour drive :/

still, should have a good chance of finding one before long, we have a few good places to buy in the central belt :)

Ultimate Aquatics in Cupar had some in last weekend when I was up. My local Dobbies garden centre (Ayr) also has some in, not sure if there's one near you tho :)
