Hi,

Title says it all really...Im thinking of 3 Oto's. This is for the lill pfk nano tank. Its a planted high tech job. Stocking at the mo is 5 Amano shrimp.
Would the Oto's be OK in there?

Cheers

Should be fine- just be careful as both oto's and amano shrimp are senstive to water quality and are a relatively risky addition to any tank under 6months mature as they need very stable water quality (neither of them can handle ammonia or nitrites). You might want to grow a little algae first for the oto's on a smooth cobble or something as they seem to do better on a fresh algae diet than a prepared foods one  .

Thanks Tokis.

The tanks been running for about 3 mabie 4 months now and is fully cycled-should be OK for them.

Ive got some green spot and brown algae that grows on the glass...hopefully they will feast on that

Ok thanks for that. Fortunatly I am an expert in growing algae, in almost every tank I have ever had
I can even grow brown algae on Java Fern...

Ill get a algae leaf from another tank and weigh it down with something.

I have just purchased 4 oto's for my pygmy puffer 65L tank. The tank is fairly new but it has mature filter media in the filter so I think it should be okay. I was wondering how I could grow some brown algea externally on something to place in the tank so that my oto'd don't starve?

Thanks in advance. :)

Well they will be fine. But must be in good. They clean ur tank in a seconde i mean the glass.
